Mac vs. HP Tuesday, April 10, 2007 |

So in typical fashion, I must rant and rave about the total stinky that is HP. My laptop screen (an HP) broke 5 days after the warranty expired. After being rudely spoken to by a guy who could not speak English, I was informed that I had two options: 1. Pay $700 to fix the screen on my computer originally purchased for $750. 2. Buy a new computer (they tried to sell me an inferior one for more money). I bought a Macbook instead. I was going to buy one in a few years when my computer was supposed to either break or become obsolete, so I figured why not. I am sad that had to spend another grand on a computer so quickly but am surely happy with my new Mac. Everything I've heard about these machines is true. The design of everything makes for a better day all around...and I'm cooler now too.
