Star Wars Weather Tuesday, November 04, 2008 |

I have been meaning to post this little something something since the first frost. As the weather turns colder and the flakes begin their inevitable invasion of my once perfectly warmer world, there are a few things that I look forward to. When I was a kid, the USA Network always began to show Star Wars around thanksgiving. They would show A New Hope on Wed., The Empire Strikes Back on Thurs., and Return of the Jedi on Fri. Then for the spectacular finish they would show all three on Sat. This has ingrained itself into my very being and so as the weather turns colder and night creeps upon day with ever increasing frequency, I get a feeling deep inside my bones that tells me I need to watch Star Wars...and its good.

I have some extras time for I am sitting in the Airport and have another hour to kill before I board so I will continue.

Politics...I hate talking politics...so I will not...I'm just saying.

I did however get up all sorts of early to get to the polls this morning when they opened so I could vote. I had to drive to Pittsburgh to get on my upcoming flight, so I had to vote even earlier. The problem is that now I have over an hour to wait. The last time I flew they said I would have to get to the airport two hours early and such...not so much. I was done with the interrogation and inappropriate touching in about ten minutes leaving me feel very cheated out of a good hour of sleep. Plus there were about a million people already at the poll location when I got there...at 6:30 AM. I rarely see that time and I figured I'd be in and out right? It took me forever...especially because there was a lady in front of me who was taking so long that she needed to go find a chair so that she could sit in front of the screen and take more time. Wow...6:30 Am is way too early to be patient, by like 6 hours too early.

The check in guy here at the terminal looks like a larger version of Martin Smith from Delirious. I had to spell check Delirious.

I have more but I will save it for D.C. because I have about a two hour layover there...
